SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Lone Star Bakery, Inc., the country’s largest custom commercial bakery, announces the introduction of its Miss Emma's brand.
“For decades, Lone Star Bakery has been working behind the scenes to create, bake and package products for restaurants, in-store bakeries and delis, co-packing partners, and food service organizations across the country,” says Mandy Morris, vice president & COO, the third generation to run the business. “We felt that this was the right time to leverage our history and expertise and create our own brand.”
The introduction of the Miss Emma's brand fits into the current business strategy of Lone Star Bakery, which includes branding its own products, and developing and introducing more contemporary products into the marketplace. “Of course we'll continue to provide our new and existing customers with the top-quality products and service that we're known for,” says Morris.
The name of the brand – Miss Emma's – was chosen for a number of reasons. Because Lone Star Bakery has been family-owned and run for three generations, it was important that the name have a personal feel. Serendipitously, as names were being considered, a long-time employee and his wife welcomed a new baby they named Emma. The newly-developed brand and the name of the newly-born baby converged, and Miss Emma's was launched.
Currently, the Miss Emma's line includes fried pies, biscuits, brownies, cakes, cookies and more.
